Harthill Morris

Mixed Cotswold morris dancing from the most southerly village in Yorkshire

Harthill Morris are a mixed Cotswold morris dancing side from Harthill, a village in South Yorkshire between Sheffield and Worksop.

We regularly perform at local pubs and locations throughout South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire during the summer, as well as at festivals and events across the country. Formed in 1976, we dance mainly in the Cotswold-style of morris and often finish our performances with folk singing sessions, including traditional Sheffield Carols on the run up to Christmas. In our nearly 50 year history we have danced across the UK and Europe, in front of royalty and on stage, radio and TV.

From September through to the Spring we meet weekly to practice, learn new dances and encourage new members. We meet from 7.45pm until 9.30pm on Thursday evenings at Harthill Village Hall, Winney Hill, Harthill, S26 7YL. New dancers and musicians are very welcome, regardless of experience or ability!
